Arthur C. McKinley, Partner
Art McKinley is a leading innovator in micro-lens design and manufacturing, and inventor of the BioVision 1.5mm, 30° direction of view (patent pending) micro arthroscope, among many other products. Mr. McKinley founded Zibra Corporation (1984), a producer of specialty micro borescope and endoscope equipment, as well as contract manufacturing for optical systems. He also co-founded (1991) American Surgical Technologies Corporation (now Viking Systems, Inc.), a venture-backed innovator of 3D endoscope technology for minimally invasive surgery. He has designed and developed manufacturing techniques for micro-optics used in applications ranging from eye surgery to non-destructive testing of nuclear submarines. back |
