A leading retinal surgery firm has been sourcing FDA-approved micro-optical imaging systems from the BioVision team since 1995.
This firm developed and pioneered, starting in the early 1990s, a series of innovative laser retinal surgery procedures. The optical scopes enabling these procedures were designed and have since 1995 been manufactured by the BioVision team. Over a decade later, this firm continues to dominate this niche market. Today the BioVision team is working with this client to explore other possible markets and scope configurations for even more minimally invasive surgery. BioVision imaging systems have been supplied for retinal surgery both as a fully integrated scope (with an image guide, illumination bundle, and laser delivery fiber); and as endoscope subassemblies. The scopes can be autoclaved, and are available in sizes as small as 0.50mm outer diameter.
