Micro-Visualization Quality

Medical micro-visualization is a complex art and science that involves both optical components in the form of micro-endoscopes, and electronic imaging components in the form of a video display system or endoscope tower. Each of these components by themselves are crucial:

In addition, to optimize image quality, the various components of the micro-visualization system must be effectively integrated, with the needs of a specific application or procedure in mind. There is no “best” one-size-fits-all solution. Click HERE for a discussion of integrating digital micro-visualization systems

BioVision provides micro-sized endoscopes with premium image quality, a high-powered customized endoscope tower in a cost-effective portable package, and integration to create end-to-end micro-visualization solutions with optimum visualization to enable specific procedures. This combination offers enormous flexibility in planning minimally invasive and endoluminal procedures. For instance, in placement of peritoneal dialysis catheters and also in several veterinary applications, BioVision partners have taken advantage of the small size of BioVision endoscope bundles to create open space in the scope channel usable for CO2 insertion and therapeutic tooling. This has allowed three-incision procedures to be replaced by minimally invasive single-incision procedures.

We are proudest of all that BioVision micro-endoscopes are now giving physicians involved with several FDA clinical trials a clear view into places where it has never before been possible to have clear – or in some cases any – real-time imaging: inside or behind a beating heart, through the milk-duct of a breast, inside a fallopian tube. This means that cracked ribs and open-heart or open abdominal surgeries are giving way to more accurate, less invasive medical procedures, which create faster healing and better patient outcomes.
