The SurgView™ Endoscope Tower: Defining Portable Endoscopy

A leader in end-to-end customized micro-visualization solutions, BioVision also provides stand-alone endoscopes that are fully compatible with standard endoscopic cameras.

At the heart of our end-to-end systems are optimized micro-optic imaging solutions built around the SurgView™ mini-tower system. This system, including the SurgView™ and a 1.2mm needlescope, is fully approved by the FDA (510K#K082293). FDA approval includes primary classification in arthroscopy, and additional classifications in gastro-enterology, urology, and general and plastic surgery. The SurgView is now available for private-label sale on an OEM basis, and is currently also undergoing final sterilization validation for direct sale for select applications.

An innovative and highly integrated video display, xenon light source and image capture system designed, developed and manufactured by BioVision, the SurgView™ is the most portable and highly integrated endoscopic imaging system available today. This compact and innovative imaging system weighs less than 10 pounds and measures just 5 inches wide, 11 inches long and 4 inches tall. This small footprint makes the SurgView™ suitable for not just operating rooms, but also ERs, doctor’s offices, aboard ships, the battlefield and other places where space is at a premium.

A small footprint and portability doesn’t mean sacrificing functionality. The SurgView™ offers digitally programmable cameras for custom applications, digital LCD monitor, image storage system with removable media for patient documentation and an integrated xenon light source for maximum light for small endoscopes. Highly durable housings and custom configurations are available for extreme environmental conditions.
